About Scionwest
Scionwest is a open source software developer who builds software applications that primarily target the Microsoft .NET Framework and the Visual C# programming language. He started developing software applications at the age of 12; his first project being a Text Based Game Engine (TBGEngine) that was built using Visual Basic 5 and later migrated to VB.NET and finally C# before replacing it with a new project called the Mud Designer Game Engine.
Most of his experience is with Visual Basic and C#, however he has used C++, Java and PHP while experimenting with several idea’s in the past.
Programming History
Now, 25 years old, Scionwest is the lead developer for the Mud Designer Game Engine (Replacement to TBG), and team leader for the project. He also works on a couple other projects, including being the developer of the popular iRingtones software used to convert Wav formatted ringtones into MPR formatted ringtones for iPhones and the Blit Script Engine, used in conjunction with the Microsoft XNA Framework.
He currently continues to work on the Mud Designer project, and has recently started talks with a company in regards to developing a full 3D game using outsourced technology.
Bio
Scionwest works full time in the construction industry, monitoring and enforcing specifications and requirements for construction projects. When he is not at work, he spends his free time with his Fiance planning their wedding and somehow manages to squeeze in nearly 25 hours a week in programming.
He maintains both his Scionwest Blog and his Scionwest Twitter accounts, keeping those that use his software up to date with the latest changes, and future updates. When he gets some spare time, he likes to blog his thoughts regarding todays technology and the role it plays in our lives.
